IMPREGNATED MATERIALS FOR PREVENTING CORROSION

Packspec cc has developed a unique range of speciality VCI impregnated materials, which are ideal for inhibiting
corrosion of packed products.

Available as a Polyethylene film (Sheeting or Bags) or Paper, these environment friendly materials can be used to protect components during assembly, storage and distribution.
They are used in the manufacturing, processing, mining, electrical, electronic, automotive and engineering industries, whenever corrosion protection is required.



VCI PAPER AND POLYETHYLENE


Both Packspec's paper and polyethylene are impregnated with a blend of contact and volatile corrosion inhibitors (VCI). Through vaporization and contact of the VCI chemicals, the corrosive effects of moisture, salt and pollutants are inhibited.

 

Our VCI products are suitable for short-term corrosion protection of ferrous and non-ferrous metal parts. In the case of paper, there are speciality grades which will protect silver, brass,
gold and other non-ferrous metals.
